A'ight, I haven't posted anything on here for a million years due to my activities in the real world. But tonight I got bored and the result is this very quick and cursory put together power pop/punk mix. The songs are just what I have lying around at the moment - which isn't a lot due to the my computer's health. Anyway, I hope you like it. Here's the tracklist:
the Professionals - Kamikaze (from their s/t, their first - and second best - of two real album releases)
the Boys - T.C.P. (from their ingeniously titled '78 record 'Alternative Chartbusters')
Ail Symudiad - Garej Paradwys (gay paradise? still an awesome song ~ sung in native Welsh!)
Close Lobsters - Sewer Pipe Dream (not really power pop, less punk ~~ a gorgeous underground jangle pop outfit. incredibly cacthy song from their best album, Foxheads Stalk This Land)
Fortunate Sons - In Vain (ex-Barracudas members, pretty great song)
Mad Turks (From Istanbul) - Looking Forward to Destroy (Australian power pop legends)
Nervous Eaters - Last Chance (yeah, I'm having girl problems...)
the Neighborhoods - Prettiest Girl (and this is how I'm gonna win her back! ~~ from the Nh's first single)
the Speedies - Time (never released an album, nonetheless hailed in the underground)
Blue Ash - Abracadabra (Have You Seen Her) (this song is a great example of the more 'pompous' American power pop scene. In the vein of Crash Street Kids, Pezband, Cheap Trick, Raspberries, Artful Dodger, The Dodgers, etc., etc.)
